Dennis Kaliser

Dennis Kaliser is a veteran of over thirty years in the printing industry. He has worked in the trade and press sales. Dennis received his B.Sc. in Printing Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester New York.

After his matriculation, he joined the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania as a Technical Services Representative conducting Technical Plant Audits throughout North America. He later moved to the New York area as the Eastern Regional Manager serving printers on Americas East coast. In addition to consultations, and production studies, Dennis conducted seminars on Color Reproduction, Copy Preparation, and other aspects of the printing process.

In 1979, Dennis came to live in Israel and joined the Scitex Corporation in Herzliya. Scitex was the world leader in the fledgling world of digital pre-press replacing what was up till then a tedious labor intensive process. Dennis role with Scitex began doing internal training on print technology and operator training of customers. As the equipment and software of the time required a substantial investment, profitable use of the technology was challenging to the user thus needing specialized training and consultation. He then concentrated on production studies and management training for Scitex customers around the world.
In his later years with Scitex, Dennis was active in the development of new products and services. He authored various technical documents both for internal and customer use with some of these documents being published in the trade press.

The technology of computers and digital pre-press continued to evolve so that by the early 2000s the whole pre-press process became much cheaper and simpler no longer requiring so much support.

Dennis last years of employment were in the Biomedical & Life Sciences field where he did technical editing, speaker support and web publishing of researchers presentations.

He retired in 2014 and is now involved in volunteer activities for ESRA.
