Marcia Levinson

Marcia Levinson was born in London, England and grew up in Nairobi, Kenya until 15 years old. Her final school years were spent at Berkhamsted, Herts, England. She first came to settle in Israel in 1966 and lived on a kibbutz in the Western Negev, where her two children were born.
Marcia returned to England in 1977, and lived mainly in Warwickshire. She studied and worked in computer programming and systems analysis and set up her own software consultancy company. She also volunteered in England in various community services and edited and developed a monthly magazine for Birmingham Progressive Synagogue congregation.
In 1997 she came a second time to settle in Israel and worked as technical writer, mainly freelance. Her current work is helping to run a web-based family business that sells specialized health foods online in the US.
Her volunteer work for ESRA has included writing articles of monthly Garden Club meetings and trips and helping organize Kfar Saba Book Club meetings.
Marcia has been living in Tsur Yigal since 1999. She has five young grandchildren.
