Neil Schwartz

Dr. Neil Schwartz was born in Johannesburg in 1933.  He graduated from Witwatersrand University with a MB.BCh degree, and London M.R.C.P. He was a consultant physician in Johannesburg from 1964-1978. In 1978 Neil came to live in Israel.

He worked at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon in the department of nephrology and then was assistant head of the Department B of Internal Medicine. In 1985 he became the medical director of the Herzliya Medical Center until he retired in 2005.

Since his retirement, he has been attending lectures, playing bridge, reading, being a grandfather. For a few years he helped out at the Raanana branch of Table to Table (later Leket) until the operation folded up.
