Black Arrows memorial site. The site is a dedication to the paratroopers who lost their lives while defending Israel during the period of reprisals when armed Arab marauders constantly attacked the border settlements and villages in that area. Today, impressive rocks representing each of those raids stand in this spot. Well worth a visit.

The Yachad Experimental Elementary School in Modiin is a school community incorporating both secular and religious pupils from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds which will be one of the flagship schools of a new “third stream” educational program in starting in Israel.

Jaffa Port. The Theater is home to a deaf blind acting ensemble and the two restaurants there are staffed by deaf and blind people. Steve Kramer went to see their show “Not by Bread Alone” where very few of the actors can speak but with the help of subtitles and sign language have an amazing ability to convey their thoughts and actions to the audience. The actors are very professional and many of them are both blind and deaf, touch is their most common form of communication.
