Today only a handful of Kibbutzim accept volunteers from abroad but since the 1960’s thousands of volunteers have worked on the 270 kibbutzim in the movement. Many remained here and became Israeli citizens but most only stayed temporarily and returned to their own countries having had positive experiences to take home with them
