On July 1, 2019, ESRA Herzliya organized an afternoon of pure pleasure, at which those attending were surrounded by bright and colorful paintings, sculptures and other art forms in the beautiful home of Nathalie Mimoun.  Her Chabba Art Gallery in Herzliya Pituach is a showcase for young Israeli artists.  Three of these artists, Ya’acobi, Mickie Goldstein and Vered Fishman, each spoke to us about their art which has been an integral part of their being from a very young age, of their inspirations and development as to how they now paint.

Both Vered, who came from Russia, and Mickie, who came from Chile, have also directed their talent to art therapy which has had a profound influence on them, Mickie having taken on the challenge of working with autistic people and Vered continuing her studies in this field.   Ya’acobi, who comes from Tunis, a practicing doctor, found that in creating art he had a greater understanding of his patients.  He has taken his inspiration from the original Creator and the words of our great sages.  The audience asked interesting questions and all in all, it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon and raise funds for our ESRA community projects.
