What a night! It was full of glamor and pizzazz, with beautiful and exciting fashions from four fashion houses, three from Raanana and one from Netanya. The setting was a magnificent private home in Raanana. One hundred and sixty five people attended, and all enjoyed the wonderful spectacle, which started off with a group of young smiling Ethiopian girls who performed a traditional dance mainly using their shoulders.

We had 22 children and 6 teenagers modeling as well as 24 lovely ladies, the latter wearing a wonderful selection of day clothes and a sensational array of evening wear. There were even pajamas, which were shown in a lively dance by our teenagers whose vitality added a buzz to the show. We finished the evening with Nomi, our beautiful Ethiopian model, a student volunteering in the Heftzibah community in Netanya. She wore a bridal gown and looked so radiant that she brought tears to our eyes.

Guests were served wine and a delicious array of desserts, and the evening finished with a raffle, after which the winners and all the guests went home with smiles on their faces, having enjoyed a wonderful ESRA evening.

Proceeds from the event were raised to help finance ESRA’s Students Build a Neighborhood project in Netanya and Herzliya for the Ethiopian community. All the models were volunteers and the fashion houses - Goldi Fashion House, Kimono, At-Femina Lingerie, Deborah's Boutique - too gave of their services gratis.
