IT HAS become a tradition. ESRA and the Ruppin Marine Science Institute in Michmoret have established a Program of Excellence, a two-year enrichment course for teenagers who show special promise in their studies. The project develops their intellectual and other skills by giving them a chance to learn something completely different – Science of the Sea, which combines biology, chemistry and ecology, and, above all, leadership training. On June 12, the students, their parents and ESRA members met at the school to celebrate the annual prize-giving. It was a proud moment for everyone, particularly for the graduating youngsters. This project is partly funded by the generosity of ESRA donors.
