Ancient Caesaria
Judging by the response I received from everyone, the trip went off successfully. The best was having lunch on the white sands with the view of the beautiful blue Mediterranean in front and the Roman aquaduct behind, sitting on comfortable chairs in the shade of the kiosk where the owner kept us served with ice-creams, iced coffee, salads, espresso coffee and things to nosh.
Everyone enjoyed walking through the ruins of Caesarea which came to life with the stories of those who built and inhabited the city all those many years ago, and the guided tour led by me gave them a greater understanding (after they heard my stories).
We all returned to the bus with smiles after visiting the beautiful buildings of the Ralli Museum and viewing its contents, grateful to Harry Recanati and his family for donating this to Israel.
Our last stop, and possibly the highlight of the day, was at Kibbutz Magal to visit ESRA's Horse Riding Therapy Project. Seeing the joy of those disabled children having such fun with the horse riding, dog training or just playing with furry animals and the dedication, and the passion of the people running the place at Magal was so very heartwarming and made us proud that ESRA was sponsoring the project and that we are part of ESRA. A special thank you to Nina Zuck for organizing the visit.
