Vivian Wax lives at Beth Protea and has only wonderful things to say about this retirement home and its people. It is due to them, she says, that she is able to do what she does.

Well into her eighties, Vivian’s hobby is handwork which keeps her very busy.

For a few years now she has supplied ESRA Netanya with crocheted knee rugs and baby blankets, booties, hats and stuffed dolls. Every part of the dolls is hand-sewn – even the clothes.

All these articles are given to needy children and adults, mainly Ethiopian, in the Neot Shaked neighborhood of Netanya.

This year Vivian excelled herself and supplied us with 30 pairs of booties, 31 hats, 12 dolls, 5 knee rugs and 8 baby blankets.

Our thanks and thanks on behalf of all the recipients. We wish Vivian good health and many happy hours of handwork. We look forward to receiving her magnificent items again next year.
