Hilary Meir

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Hilary has BA (Hons) in Logopedics from the University of Witwatersrand. After coming to live in Israel in 1960, she worked as a speech clinician in the department of speech and hearing therapy (communication disorders) at Sheba Medical Center (Tel Hashomer) which she helped to establish, at Assaf Harofeh and in the Neurological Rehabilitation Department at Sheba. Later, she worked in the Public Relations Department writing the "Shebaclips ", a bimonthly PR magazine in English updating the "Friends of Tel Hashomer" about new developments in medical treatment at Sheba. Since 1990 she has been an active member of ESRA and has been involved in a volunteer capacity in tutoring at a Raanana high school and serving as a member of the Editorial Board of the magazine and coordinator of the proofreaders.
