The ESRA activities morning during Chanukah was such a lovely event: kids with their mums or grandmothers all having a good time together. The boys and girls all enjoyed four very different activities.

Children from seven years and upwards were making their own table mats which they painted with a wonderful array of glitter and felt pens and then laminated to give a firm base to their work.

We had a  leave in table where three lovely ladies from the ESRA knitting club taught knitting. It was wonderful to see all the different age groups mixing together - from seven years old to ninety years young. The ladies had wonderful patience with their enthusiastic students, and gave them great confidence. We look forward to seeing their future creations.

There was a bead-making table and I am not sure who had the better time - the grandmas or the children who were creating interesting designs.

The fourth table made cotton bracelets, using different colored cottons as demonstrated by our youngest teacher, Tal Finklestone, who is ten years old, and who was happy to teach anyone who wanted to learn how to complete a bracelet.

It was great to see different generations having fun and hopefully the young people are future ESRA members in the making. We look forward to our next activities group during the Pesach holidays
