Singer Linda Tomer with piano accompanist Roni Zur gave a concert in the garden of Jackie and David Shulman in Raanana.

Linda, who made aliyah from Australia 25 years ago, sings in seven languages. For almost two hours she sang a selection of music from the great lyricists of the 20th century. She sang in the styles of Ella Fitzgerald and Barbara Streisand, and also performed a selection of songs from the songbooks of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra.

To complete the concert under the starlit sky, cocktails and canapes were served. This added to the atmosphere, and the audience, who were familiar with her repertoire, sang along happily, making the garden-concert an unforgettable experience. This was a perfect way to spend a summer’s evening - great music, cocktails and the company of like-minded people.

The Shulmans were the perfect hosts; they lit up the garden expertly and served frozen treats –  to the delight of the audience.

Can’t wait for next summer for another concert under the stars!
