It is with feelings of both pride and humility that I thank you for this honor of choosing me as the new chairperson of Esra. Following Hertzel Katz in this office is a great challenge, and many of his programs will continue, especially his programs of increasing Esra’s membership and developing a cadre of Esra members who will assume leadership roles in the future.

An additional current goal is to help Esra members to become more closely identified with the organization as a whole as well as with the individual projects, programs, activities and services which Esra supports. This means guiding our membership to become more knowledgeable about the aims and structure of Esra while continuing to implement Esra’s philosophy of volunteerism both to the English speaking community and to Israeli society at large.

I look forward to this opportunity of continuing to work together with the dedicated, intelligent and creative men and women who make up the Esra family.
