Richard Stein is put through his paces by dance teacher Aviv

Recently our ESRA Neot Shaked Dance Group gave a demonstration and show for their parents.  The dance program this year is a combination of traditional Ethiopian dance styles plus modern and Israeli dance, so the girls are getting a peek into their own rich heritage as well as into modern up-to-date dancing. Aviv, the dance teacher, first took the girls through their warm-up exercises and then off they went to change into their costumes and return for the show. They were great, the parents were thrilled, and Joan Weisman, the ESRA volunteer coordinator, Richard Stein (former ESRA chair) and myself “kleibed nachas”!
