My word . . . Wednesday is Scrabble night at Beit Fisher

If you love word-games and are a Scrabble freak 

Please come and join us on Wednesdays each week. 

Staying at home and playing on line 

Is a lot of fun, it's good, it's fine. 

But on Wednesdays at Beit Fisher you'll find 

Scrabble-playing of another kind. 

You can play on the computer any time, any day, 

But on Wednesdays you'll find a real person to play. 

We meet Wednesday evenings, we start at 7.30, 

Remember it's Wednesday (not Tuesday or Thursday). 

Twenty-five shekels is not a lot, you'll agree, 

That's what we pay for the entrance-fee. 

We enjoy our games, and there’s an extra plus, 

Knowing that ESRA benefits from us. 

We're a friendly bunch, lots of chatting and rabble, 

But at start of play it's ..... “Shh, we're playing Scrabble.” 

We play our first game, then break for biscuits and  brew 

We then play our next game with somebody new, 

Scrabble association rules are the way to go.

We take our games seriously - not too seriously though.
