A FAMILY get-together . . . when Shiphra and Mel Davis, of Netanya, recently celebrated their diamond wedding, the entire family – that’s 44 people in total – got together for a group photo to congratulate them on their 60 years together. The ‘clan’ is made up as follows: Mel and Shipra have two children and 14 grandchildren. Of these, nine are married, so that adds nine more to the grandchildren list. Then add to those 15 great grandchildren. Meanwhile, the family is still growing – five more great grandchildren are on the way. As matriarch Shiphra so succinctly says: “We are so blessed."
