THIS is the third year that ESRA Herzliya has organized a bridge morning; it was held on May 22 this year, and they are very adept at it.

My partner and I enjoyed both the bridge and the ambience of the new venue, the Wizo hall in Herzliya Pituach.

Congratulations to ESRA Herzliya on the super breakfast that they served and thanks to the committee members and others for their generous donations of cakes, salads and more.

Special thanks to Bess Hoffman, Lorette Greenberg and Irene Myron for their hard work in organizing this really lovely event. All the ladies came in their finery (there was even a sprinkling of men), some to play duplicate and some to play socially; in total there were 17 tables. Proceeds from the morning will go to ESRA community projects.

Eddie Scott, the tournament director, took charge of the room in his usual professional manner, and our thanks go to him for his contribution to the morning by giving us his time and expertise.

The prize-winners were:

N/S: Louise Braverman & Sheila Goldberg

E/W: Doreen Gainsford & Peggy Barzilay

A raffle was drawn for a prize of a restaurant meal for two and was won by Sara Peles.

A truly pleasant morning of bridge was had by all.
