To say "It was a privilege to have known Monica" would never reveal the full extent of how much she was loved and respected by everyone who had met her.

From the time she was at school and involved in Habonim she showed her dedication towards whatever she was involved in and to the people around her. Growing up in Salisbury, Rhodesia she became involved in WIZO and other Jewish bodies and could always be relied upon to be around when help was needed. Bonding with her future husband Boaz Menashe, they planned and eventually made aliya in 1978 (with their family) and soon found their niche in continuing to give service to the community in which they lived.

Working at the Bet Loewenstein hospital for twenty five years, she was witness to other peoples' difficulties and never allowed herself to seek consolation for any of her own, even when she herself was struck with health problems. A devoted wife and mother, she was a very private person but her family's welfare was for her a priority.

As a member of the Raanana bowling club, playing the game was not enough, and she gave to the club all her efforts to ensure that all the members would enjoy being part of the club as much as she did. Recognition was given to her by her election to the club as ladies captain chairman on more than one occasion. In other areas of social activity, including Esra, she also found time to volunteer and give of herself in many causes.

As a friend one could not wish to have had anybody more genuine, sincere and loyal. Never demanding of others, her concern for anyone in need of support and/or needing a listening ear she was always ready to help. In all the years I had known Monica I cannot recall her using a single word or remark of criticism or rebuke towards others. She was a true Eshet Hayil, and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

To her loving husband and children all would want to wish them a long life to remember Monica's many qualities and love and the happy moments in all their lives together.
