Plans have been unveiled for a new retirement village in Modiin, due to open in 2018. The Azrieli Village will be situated on land just 200 meters from the Shilat junction. At a packed presentation organised by ESRA, the city’s mainly Anglo residents heard that a total of 240 units would be available to purchase, together with 72 long-term care beds and 60 units for auxiliary help housing. The complex, which will cover more than 30,000 sq meters, will include sports facilities, eateries, a leisure centre, synagogue and gardens. There will be parking for 200 cars. Moran Goder, Azrieli Palace vice president, told those present:  the most important thing will be content. We are planning to create a special society – Another way of living with many activities.
