The kids in the Students Build a Neighborhood project in Kiryat Nordau, Netanya, were given a fantastic Chanukah surprise this year - the stars of the Barak Green Tops Netanya basketball team ran a special clinic for them at their home court. The Netanya Hoops for Kids basketball program, managed by David Lasday, generously sponsored and organized this exciting evening for the children.

The players gave them a warm welcome, and energy ran high as the children mingled with the team on the court. After a fun warm-up, the children were divided into five groups, and each skill station was led by a number of players. The players spent a full hour with the children, teaching them to dribble, shoot, guard and more. Everyone had a great time and the session ended with lots of laughter and high-fives. The players then gave the children an opportunity to take photographs with them, which was one of the top highlights. 

After all the exercise and fun, everyone had developed quite a sweet tooth. Netanya Hoops for Kids treated the children to donuts and presented them with Chanukah gifts. It was an amazing evening filled with fun, love, good sportsmanship and community outreach - a perfect way to spread the joy and light of the Chanukah.
