ALUT'S HAGGADAH

The drawing on the cover of this Esra Magazine, and the drawings on this page, are just some of the beautiful drawings that decorate the new Haggadah published by ALUT - The Israeli Society for Autistic Children.

They were created by Autistic adolescents and adults at ALUT’s occupational and day centers, which are a source of employment, rehabilitation and professional guidance services for their members. Their aim is to promote the development of each member according to the individual’s talents.

Lacking typical communication methods, Autistic people reach from their closed-off world through lines, colors and shapes in their artwork. Through these drawings we are able to see an examining eye, desire for contact and a world rich with feelings.
