This is a very long shot – I’ve been transcribing my parents’ wartime letters. My father was stationed in Palestine as it then was and a letter of 1946 mentions a family named Cosgrove.
Mrs Cosgrove was an Arab and her husband Irish. They had three children whose ages, at that time were approximately Desmond 12, Pat 15 and Aileen 20. They were probably in the Jerusalem area – father was in charge of a Stationery Dept.

I thought if any of the family are still there it might be of interest for their family history. Please contact me you have any information of the family Cosgrove.
