View of the interior of the Hurva Synagogue

To quote the words of that well-known song, There’s a Place for Us. And if the entries in our latest photo contest are anything to go by, then there are many such spots which our readers truly love. Places here in Israel, places abroad . . . they all have a relevance in your lives. However, the picture chosen as our winner was of the Hurva Synagogue, Jerusalem, taken by Robert Schenk, of Raanana. His prize is a 32GB Ultra Class 10 SDHC card, of SanDisk Corporation – a global leader in flash memory storage solutions.
Subject for the next contest for you to interpret in a picture is WINTER. Email your high resolution Jpeg as an attachment to: esramag@esra.org.il and don’t forget to include your name, address and telephone number – and in a few words please tell us where your photo was taken.
The closing date for entries is Thursday January 16, 2014. Once again, a 2GB Ultra Class 10 SDHC card is the prize. The winner and a selection of other entries will appear in the next issue of the magazine.
Please note: Only one photograph per person is allowed. Multiple entries will be automatically disqualified.
