A HISTORICAL TOUR OF THE HOLY LAND

This is one of those very rare guide books that answers the three 'W"s: When, Where, What. It's a very successful effort on several levels. It is lightweight (160 pp) and can be easily carried in a tote bag or backpack while touring. The typography is extremely easy to read, with captioned photographs on practically every page. The visual knowledge is aided and abetted by charts and maps and the pages are color coded to indicate historical periods. The closing pages that deal with contemporary history are succinct and impartial, which means this is a book that can be read and used by any armchair traveler or visiting tourist.   I take off my "kova tembel" in admiration, and compliment Beryl Ratzer on being the author of a truly user-friendly tour of Israel.

Reduced purchase price for ESRA members NIS 45 which includes postage.  (Retail purchase price NIS 65). To order the book, contact Beryl Ratzer at ratzer@bezeqint.net or call 052 365 1037 and give your ESRAcard number.
