ESRA Herzliya held its annual bridge and breakfast morning recently in the now familiar and beautiful surroundings of WIZO in Herzliya Pituach.

There was a large crowd of participants and the delicious breakfast was prepared entirely by our volunteers.  We had the advantage of having Rami, our charming tournament director, who volunteered his services for the second time.

The winners of the bridge were:

N/S: Anne and Martin Marks and E/W: Moira Cohen and Rhona Berzak.

Hanna Goldberg was the raffle winner and won a dinner for two at the Tavola Restaurant in Herzliya Pituach.  B’Tayavon Hanna!

Other raffle prizes were donated by Tami Golan, Herzliya Pituach (vouchers for a manicure and a pedicure) and by Susan Kurnedz, Netanya (a packet of personalized bridge scorers).

Congratulations to Bess Hoffman and her dedicated helpers for a wonderful morning, great bridge and a lovely atmosphere.

The proceeds went to ESRA’s Nativ after school center in Herzliya for children with severe behavioral and emotional problems.  This center provides a hot lunch, help with homework, activities such as yoga, judo, carpentry and movies, and provides a warm and stable framework for the children from 1-5pm, when otherwise, most of them would be out on the streets.   The center is run by a small paid staff and volunteers and is in need of further funding. Anyone who wishes to help, please call Irene at 054 237 0071.
