This is a book that lauds the iconic trait of Jews – humor. And cleverly appends it to learning Hebrew. Every page is a funny black & white cartoon illustrating a particular word. The captions spell out words in Hebrew, with transliteration and, of course, definition. The format is classic soft-cover paperback, sized to fit into a tote bag or backpack pouch. The convenience of the format makes it a perfect linguistic companion while traveling, drinking coffee or waiting on line. Even if your Hebrew is fine, the laughs go from right to left and left to right.
