Judy Frankel

Judy Frankel grew up in South London and graduated from Somerville College, Oxford, with an Honours Degree in English Language and Literature. She enjoyed a long and satisfying career as an English teacher as well as reviewing books for The Times and the Jewish Chronicle. She was an active member of several Zionist organizations, including British WIZO (where she chaired two groups, at different times, and edited its national magazine) and B’nai B’rith, where she was President of her Lodge. She was also involved with the Zionist Federation Educational Trust. She served as a Magistrate in North-West London for twenty years.

Judy and her late husband David made aliyah in 2013 and she now enjoys life in Netanya where she is a volunteer English tutor and runs a monthly Book Club for AACI. She is the proud grandmother of four Israeli and two English grandchildren.
